Dr. Thaweephok Angkwanich, Head of Elephant Conservation, Thai Elephant Conservation Center, Lampang Province, revealed the progress of monitoring and treating the symptoms of "Plai Khundej" who is currently under the care of the National Elephant Institute under royal patronage. He said that Plai Khundej can adjust and walk in the prepared area. Veterinarians are still cleaning the wound on the left front leg and using laser every day, which has narrowed the wound. The elephant is starting to position the injured foot better and is expected to recover soon.
